Introducing Gertrude "Gert-Monster" Donoghue

Here are some pictures of Gertie, or Devil Dog as we have begun calling her.

Here we are meeting Gert, an adorable chow/shephard/retriever pup, at the Michigan Humane Society. It didn't take us long to fall in love with her. We brought her home in this handy Dunkin-Donuts-munchkin-shaped box, provided by the Humane Society (which she promptly whizzed in.)

Here she pretends to be an angel after "helping" unwrap a very sweet anniversary gift from Momma D. In fact, she is just taking a break from pulverizing the ribbon -- far better than pulverizing our fingers, of course.

In the final picture, she snuggles contentedly with Fido. Don't let this fool you either. While Gertie clearly loves Fido, Fido only seems to appreciate Gertie when she is eating or laying quietly near him.

In the near future the DN hopes to add video clip capabilities to the site. When we do, we will provide some footage of Gertie giving Fido hugs and dancing with him while Fido growls menacingly.
