First, an apology -- the DN has been slowed to a crawl by the holidays. But fortunately -- wonderful as they were -- they are over (more on that later) and the DN is back online. So, back to the Chicago weekend. Soon-to-be-Grandma Huntington and Auntie Ellen threw a wonderful shower for Charlie at Tad & Ellen's home. It was a couples shower -- very progressive -- so Dave, Laura & Charlie were all in attendance. The food was excellent, the games were a blast (Jaybo almost won the baby-food-flavor game), but most of all it was great to catch up with so many good friends and family. Here are some pics of the event. Of special note, check out Francis's funky outfit and Tad & Ellen's gorgeous tree (Ellen strings each branch with lights deep into the tree, very impressive -- the DN lacks that kind of patience). Finally, a shout-out to Matt and Sally, who took over the photog responsibilities and so expertly captured the shower on film.

This was a great event, thank you for inviting me. Next time I'll come prepared to know the baby food varities. And in the meantime, keep up the updates on the baby!
