The DN loves nothing more than dogs in costume. Today, hundreds of Basset Hounds from across the nation converged onto the streets of Birmingham for the Basset Waddle, an annual event that must be seen to be believed. Bassets in tutus! Bassets in cowboy hats! Bassets in homemade rainbow-knit sweaters! Bassets in sunglasses! Bassets in Pistons jerseys! Bassets in kingly regalia! Bassets everywhere. All waddling down the streets of downtown B-ham to raise money for the Michigan Basset Rescue. What could be more fun?
