Dave turned 32 on Valentine's Day, and the DN celebrated the event in grand style. Here he is unwrapping the man-apron and oven mitt that Momma D. gave him to wear while preparing his famous, tasty, high-fiber weekend breakfasts. (For further information regarding the fiber content of Dave's pancakes, please ask Gulde). Note the angel food cake, sans frosting, and fresh fruit. My husband is what you might call a "healthy eater," which means that on his birthday, much to the chagrin of the rest of the DN, the usual chocolate-cake-with-chocolate-frosting birthday cake is replaced by the much healthier angel food variety.
