Way too much information -- about movies.

Our friends Matt & Sally just posted that they have received (and likely watched) one movie every 94 hours for the majority of their marriage, at an average cost of $1.99 per movie. That made me wonder, how much time have Laura and I spent watching movies. Of course, answering that question would be fairly time-consuming. But I could quickly do the calculation that Matt and Sally did. I learned that, over approximately the same time, we have rented about 200 movies (less than half of Matt and Sally's total) for an average of one movie every 205 hours or about 8.5 days. One per week is about what I would have expected. Laura watched lots of movies while feeding Charlie late at night during the six months after he was born and will start again soon probably (once Dad finally gets the DVD player set up). But those times are balanced by the occasional brief loss of a DVD, most of our numerous moves have resulted in at least a brief loss of a DVD.

What does all of this mean? Probably that I need more sleep.

For those disappointed that this is not a video or picture of Charlie or Ruth, I am sorry. I promise that those are on the way.
