Earlier this month, Gert had the appointment that all doggies dread. She got fixed at the vet. No possibility for little Gert puppies. She did great, though -- as evidenced by the fact that within 24 hours she was back to herself, stealing and then chewing my flip flop. The inflatable tube around her little head is a more modern take on the traditional doggie cone, designed to keep pooches from chewing on parts that have been worked on. The inner tube looks silly, but is a vast improvement for Gert over the cone that the vet gave her. That cone wouldn't have lasted a day. Leave it to Dave to find a functional, revolutionary doggie accessory that even the vet had not heard of before!

Gert Goes Under The Knife
