Final Preparations

Last weekend we had the parents over in shifts (Momma D Friday to Saturday and the Huntingtons Saturday to Sunday). Everyone wanted to see Laura and how big Charlie has grown. And everyone wanted to see Charlie's nursery all set and ready for him. Well, the DN batted .500 last weekend. Laura looks fabulous and Charlie is doing great. In fact, as you can probably see from comparing the above pictures to previous ones, Charlie has "dropped." Basically, Charlie has lowered himself and is positioned head-down, getting ready to enter the world. But the DN was a bit behind on the nursery, the crib had not arrived and the nursery was cluttered with a massive array of toys, clothes and baby implements. But as you can see from the pics (and much to the relief of various Grandmas-to-be) the crib has arrived and Dave assembled it. In fact, he even built shelving units for the closet -- from a kit -- so Charlie's clothes and supplies are organized.

All that is left is to get the glider in (it has been delayed in shipping) and put up some airplane wall art. Oh, yeah and for Charlie to come . . . . We will keep you posted. Look for pictures of our son in the next month or so.

Love the final preparations. The crib looks awesome, and I cannot wait to see the results of the hard work in person. Oh, and the same goes for Charlie too!
