Voting Works Up a Man-Sized Appetite

It is election day in the greater Chicagoland area. You might wonder, didn't you guys already re-elect Mayor Daley for the umpteenth time, by a massive landslide in February? Yes we did. But as with all things voting in Chicago, we like to do it at least twice. So, this afternoon I picked Charlie up and headed to our polling place. Charlie and I tried out a fancy new touchscreen voting booth, which seemed to work marvelously. Charlie even made a few choices for me. He seemed underwhelmed by his first act supporting our democratic process. But he liked the sticker. And as you can see from the pictures, voting works up a serious appetite.*

* I apologize for a drop off in picture quality. Laura is traveling this week, so Dad had to man the camera. The results are not 4-H Grand Champion caliber. Charlie is wearing his Mom-tattoo shirt because of how much he misses his Mom this week. We love you Mom.
