Birthday Boy!

I can't believe Charlie is one year old. I further can't believe that Dave yells at me when I call him my baby, because apparently now he is officially a "toddler." (Whatever -- I'll call him a toddler when he starts walking.) Anyway -- Charlie celebrated his first birthday with all of his favorite people! Gramma Donoghue, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Dave, Grandpa and Grandma Huntington, Uncle Tad, the Guldes, the Breits, IDog, Karen, Rachel, and Auntie Sanya, and Gertie, Murph, and Tuk (who weren't invited to the party but did help clean up afterward) all came to the OP to wish Charlie a happy day. Francis even dressed in thematically appropriate attire -- she was the most hilariously adorable cowgirl I have ever seen. Auntie Sarah and Gramma D. decorated the house while I was upstairs with a nasty case of strep. Auntie Sarah did not disappoint, presenting Charlie with the most awesome birthday cake a little one year old cowboy could hope for (see photo above), even if his Daddy insists that the Indians were a peaceful people. Charlie is a very lucky little boy to be loved by so many caring family and friends.

The spectactular photos are courtesy of Sally Gulde, Grammy-winning graphic designer and awesome photographer, and Sanya Sarich, who has not won any Grammys that I am aware of but who sure knows how to take a fantastic photo.
